The United States Of America Is An Amazing Travel Destination

The United States is a vast country that is the melting pot of the world. This means that they have a city that will be just your cup of tea. So, let’s sit back and enjoy just some of the things this amazing country has to offer.

Los Angeles, California

Los Angeles, California is the epicenter of the cool California lifestyle. The area is known for its beautiful year-round weather and amazing beaches. This is also where you will find Hollywood, California.

The Hollywood film industry is the oldest in the world and has helped broadcast American Culture to the four corners of the globe.

You can compare your hands and feet to movie stars at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. Visitors can then go behind the scenes by getting a tour of Paramount Movie Studios. There are also new attractions such as the Museum of Illusions where you can get amazingly unbelievable pictures.

However, Los Angeles is not only just movies and surfing. The city is home to both a world-class observatory and symphony. The Griffith Observatory is particularly affordable with tickets sometimes running a low as $3 for a planetarium show. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is the largest museum of art in the United States and can boast of over one million visitors a year.

New York, New York

New York City is the cultural heart of the United States. Visiting this city is an experience that is larger than life. This is a place that you could visit a hundred times and still find something new to do each time you visit.

If you enjoy the theatre you could go to watch an award-winning show on Broadway. A carriage ride through the city center would be a dream come true for most urban romantics. There are a multitude of world-class restaurants that would fit anyone’s budget.

The city is also home to both the world-class Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. It is not unusual to be able to gain admission to these amazing museums for free if you go on the right day. The city also has a very reliable public transportation system, which is not true of all American cities.

End the day viewing the city’s famous skyline from atop the observation deck at the Rockefeller Center, which is known as the Top of the Rock. New York City is a vibrant and spectacular place that everyone needs to see to believe.

Washington, DC

To truly understand the culture of the United States, one must visit the capital of this great nation. Washington, DC (not to be confused with the state of Washington) is actually a small city that is located on the Potomac River.

The 3 branches of the United States Government can be found here which include the Capitol, White House, and Supreme Court. These government buildings are housed in elegant neoclassical buildings as an homage to ancient Greece, the birthplace of Democracy.

Washington, DC also has Smithsonian Museums. These exhibits include everything from fossils that are billions of years old to the Hope Diamond. A lot of these museums are located in walking distance from each other on the National Mall. Visitors can enjoy all these amazing museums for free as there is no charge for admission.

This city is a great destination for families and travelers who want to know more about the history of this amazing country.

San Antonio, Texas

The iconic symbol of the United States is the Cowboy. There is no city that embodies that tough rugged American spirit better than San Antonio.

This city is located in south-central Texas, which is the largest state in the United States. One of the most popular sites is the Alamo, which is an 18th-Century Spanish mission that is now preserved as a museum. This site marks a famous 1836 battle for Texan independence from Mexico.

You can then explore your inner cowboy at the Briscoe Western Art Museum. This three-story building brings the Wild West to life with pieces ranging from stagecoaches to authentic Native American artifacts.

After the museum, you can explore the pedestrian promenade that follows the San Antonio River. Here you will find a great variety of cafes and unique boutiques. A visitor will enjoy Breckenridge Park, which conveniently houses the zoo, Japanese tea gardens, and most of the city’s nightlife. San Antonio is a must-see for those who are really interested in a real slice of Americana.

Honolulu, Hawaii

A tropical paradise is not what most people envision of the United States, but Hawaii is actually the youngest state in this great nation. The breathtaking island is surrounded by turquoise waters and actually has volcanoes.

Travelers who enjoy being outdoors will love hiking on Diamond Head. This path will lead you to the rim of an inactive volcano. This is the perfect place to get a breathtaking view of the city, ocean, and mountains.

However, Honolulu is not just blessed with amazing natural beauty. The city is the capital of Hawaii and boasts of a vibrant nightlife. The Waikiki area is famous for its fine dining and world-class shopping.

Travelers enjoy visiting the USS Arizona, which memorializes the attack on Pearl Harbor, which prompted the United States to join the Allies in World War II. Of course, you could just spend a day relaxing and playing on one of the island’s beautiful beaches. Honolulu has much to offer even the most world-weary vacationers.
